Himalayan Climbing and Trekking Peaks

Pisang Peak is the most popular Peak among the trekking peaks in Nepal in the Annapurna region The area surrounding the summit is comprised of very steep rock sections Once at the top of the steep rock section, an equally steep and narrow ridge takes you to the summit At 6476 metres Mera Peak is the highest of the trekking peaks in Nepal Mera Peak is classified as a trekking peak although the final summit pull requires the use of technical gear High Camp on Mera Peak is a spectacular spot affording incredible views of the surrounding peaks The trek takes you into some remote yet incredibly beautiful places like the Hongu Valley As you approach the upper end of the valley you enter a land of high peaks and moraines. There are numerous routes to return from Mera Peak. One of the hardest is over the Amphu Lapcha pass The route via Amphu Lapcha is extremely technical and prior experience is essential On the other side of the Amphu Lapcha, lies another trekking peak, Island Peak. Compared to Mera Peak, the technical section of Island Peak is harder, though the actual trekking to get there is easier. Base camp is nestled in a narrow valley on the right of the Peak The mountain was named by 1952 by Shiptons party and although it was later renamed Imja Tse, many of the locals still refer to it as Island Peak Incredible glaciers and crevasses are found on the route to summit After the steep ice wall, a steady climb takes you to summit Island peak can also be approached from the Everest Base Camp trail Another less popular but no incredible trekking peak, is Lobuche Peak Lobuche East (6119m) is one of the hardest of the trekking peaks that groups attempt. In the Everest region only Kwangde and Kusum Kangguru are more difficult.
